Inbox warm-up, sending limits and health
New inboxes warm up for 14 days in our warm-up network (150 credits per inbox a month), then start at 5 cold emails a day and add 5 a day up to their limit. Health comes from each inbox's own bounces and unsubscribes.
A brand-new inbox that suddenly sends hundreds of emails lands in spam. Warm-up builds trust first.
- The warm-up network. Each connected inbox emails other customers' inboxes, on other domains, a few times a day: 2 on day one, rising to 20 by day 14, then about 10 a day for as long as warm-up is on. About a third get an answer in the same thread. When one lands in spam, we move it to the inbox, mark it read and archive it, which teaches Gmail and Outlook that the mail is wanted. Warm-up emails your inboxes receive are filed away the same way, never shown as replies. Turn it off for an inbox under Details.
- What it costs. 150 credits per inbox per month, charged on its first warm-up email of the month. Short on credits, warm-up waits (and you get one alert that month) until you top up.
- 14 days, then a ramp. An inbox shows Warming up for 14 days. Then it sends 5 cold emails on its first day, 10 on the next, and so on up to its daily limit (30 unless you change it, 50 at most). Need more volume? Add inboxes, not more sends per inbox.
- Aged inboxes. If an inbox has been sending normal email for months, mark it Aged under Details: it skips the 14 days and starts the ramp at once.
- Health comes from each inbox's last 14 days: 100, minus 10 points for every 1% of its emails that bounced and 3 for every 1% that unsubscribed (under 10 emails, it stays at 100). Under 80 it sends half as much; under 70 it leaves the warm-up network until it recovers.
- Paused for you. An inbox with 3% or more bounces (after 20 emails) is paused, and so is a sequence at 5% (after 30). You get an alert and an email. Clean the list, then turn it back on.
- Daily limits. If Google or Microsoft says an inbox hit its own daily sending limit, it rests until tomorrow and carries on by itself.
- Older connections. An inbox connected before warm-up could move mail needs one reconnect before warm-up can pull its emails out of spam. The inbox says so.
- Sequences spread sends across your inboxes and only send in the hours and days you pick.
