Set up cold email: domains and inboxes
Send cold email from inboxes on a separate domain, never your main one. Connect your own Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 inboxes; we check each one's domain records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX) every day and show exactly what to add.
Why a separate domain. Cold email can hurt a domain's reputation. Sending from a lookalike, like getyouragency.com, keeps your main domain's email safe.
- Set up a lookalike domain with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, with two or three inboxes on it, like maya@getyouragency.com. (Buying domains and ready inboxes right here is coming.)
- In Cold email → Inboxes, connect each inbox with Google or Microsoft. You allow sending, reading replies, and filing warm-up email. We never see your password and never delete your mail.
- Add the records shown under each inbox's Details. SPF (the record that says who may send for your domain) is needed before a sequence can launch; DKIM and DMARC are strongly recommended. We check once a day.
- Let each inbox warm up for 14 days, or mark it as Aged if it has sent normal email for months.
- Fill in your sender name and postal address. Every cold email must include it.
Then write a sequence.
