Turn on two-step verification

Two-step verification asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app every time you sign in, so a leaked password alone isn't enough. Turn it on in Settings, under Security.

  1. Go to Settings and open Security (in the business app or the partner dashboard).
  2. Under Two-step verification, choose Turn on.
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, like Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy. Can't scan? Copy the setup key into the app instead, and pick "time-based" if it asks.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from the app. The code changes every 30 seconds, and any current one works.

You'll see Two-step verification is on. From then on, signing in asks for the code your app shows, and there's no email sign-in link around it. That's what keeps a stolen password or a hacked inbox from getting in. To turn it off, enter a code from the app.

Lost your phone or deleted the app? On the code screen, choose Lost your phone? and email us from the address on your account. We'll check it's really you, then turn two-step off so you can sign in and set it up again.

Agencies: anyone who can see client data should turn it on.
